2000 – Degree in Chemistry summa cum laude at the University of Perugia

2003-2008 - Member of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Nanostructured Materials for Chemical, Physical and Biomedical Applications (CEMIN).


2004 – PhD in Chemical Science at the University of Perugia and PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Bordeaux 1 (mention: très honorable).


2004-2008 –  Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Perugia

2011 -2012 – Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Catania

2012-2017 – Assistant Professor at the University of Perugia, Department of Chemistry.

2012-2015 – Principal Investigator of a research project entitled “Exploring the phospholipidosis mechanism induced by drugs and their metabolites” (FIRB Futuro in Ricerca-2010)

2015- Invited Researcher at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Geneva (CH) for three months.

Experience in Industry

2008 – 2011 – Principal investigator at MIA srl (Multivariate Infometric Analysis). She handled research projects in collaboration with Hoffman-La Roche (Basel) and Sanofi- Aventis (Frankfurt and Cambridge).

2012 – 6 months Principal investigator at Molecular Discovery Ltd. Research project on Xenobiotic biotransformations. 

Abroad experiences

2002-2003 – overall 6 months as a PhD student at  the University of Bordeaux 1, Department of Organic and Organimetallic Chemistry, In the groups of Prof. Frederic Fages and Prof. Dario Bassani.

2005 – 6 months as a visiting student at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Ohio State University (USA), in the research group of Prof. James F. Rathman.

2015- 3 months as invited researcher at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Genéve (CH).

Expertise certificates

2005 - training course on Atomic Force Microscopy under the supervision of Dr. Gunjan Agarwal at the Biomedical Engineering Department of the Ohio State University, obtaining a certification of her ability in using this technique.

 

2011 – practical course on metabolite identification using accurate Qtof-MS accurate mass data, organized by Molecular Discovery (Frankfurt).

Personal grants

2001 – fellowship from the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) to attend  the PhD programs in co-tutoring between Italy and France.

2012 – winner of a FIRB-2010 “Futuro in Ricerca” research grant (36 months) as Principal Investigator (RBFR10X5OO)
